The aims of the study were to present results of work on the Polish version of the MBI-GS, examine its validity and reliability, and investigate the general burnout profile in a group of ICT specialists (N=150). The Polish version of the MBI-GS proved sufficient quality as a measurement instrument. The explanatory factor analyses replicated the same three- factor structure (Exhaustion, Cynicism, Professional Efficacy) as the original method. In terms of reliability, Cronbach’s Alphas values for all three subscales were above 0.70 which proves sufficient internal consistency. Findings from the initial study on the Polish version of the MBI-GS suggest that it can be successfully applied to measure burnout in a wider than human services range of occupations.
