When examining partridges (Perdix perdix L.) the authors found in two birds from the Breeding Centre in Dobre (Radziejów region, Bydgoszcz voivodeships) fairly numerous larvae of Mesocestoides lineatus (Goeze, 1782) - Tetrathyridium elongatum (Blumberg, 1882). The parasite has been hitherto recorded to occur in Poland in cats (Ejsmont. 1929) and dogs (Fagasiński and Piusiński, 1960), and its incidence in partridge was noted for the first time.
