The effect of mixed cropping faba bean with oat on the occurrence of faba bean chocolate spot caused by Botrytis fabae and other spot diseases caused by Ascochyta fabae, Botrytis cinerea, Cercospora spp. was studied. The experiment was conducted during the 2006–2008 cropping seasons. Chocolate spot intensity of occurrence was reduced in the mixed cropping system with oat in comparison to faba bean cultivated alone. In the mixed cropping system, the intensity of disease occurrence showed a lowered tendency. Cultivar Olga with a lower content of tannin was less infected by B. fabae.
