Zaprezentowano możliwość uzyskania lepszej pozycji konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstw gospodarki żywnościowej w stosunku do przedsiębiorstw na rynkach Unii Europejskiej. Przewagę tę przedsiębiorstwa mogą uzyskać nie tylko przez wprowadzenie nowych smaków wyrobów, ich promocję, ale przede wszystkim przez wdrożenie systemu HACCP, który jest obowiązkowy w naszym kraju od I maja 2004 roku.

From the moment of Poland’s accession into the EU food processing enterprises were obliged by the international law to implement new EU standards. In future it will improve the quality and safety of their products and in the final result will better fulfil customers’ expectations. Implementation of HACCP involved a change of attitude of the refrigeration enterprise staff towards the production on all accompanying processes. Abandoning the testing of ready products I favor of an asses - sment of guaranteed quality products was among the reasons for recommending HACCP system for food production. An undoubted advantage of HACCP system is the fact that the programme covers all stages ofproduction process and forces the staff of the discussed enterprise to change their former habits. This system transfers the responsibility to workers directly involved I production making them co-responsible for the ready product quality. HACCP system is of preventive character and its outcome is lowering the coast offood market participants (including less complaints and greater satisfaction of consumers).
