Z wyróżnionych 24 fitocenoz największą powierzchnię zajmowały zbiorowiska łąkowe i murawowe - występujące w części ekotonowej (5,6 ha), a nieco mniejszą wodne (0,9 ha) i szuwarowe (2,2 ha) tworzące strefę obszaru oczek wodnych.

In 2004-2006, the floral-phytosociological properties of a natural complex land of an area of 10 ha located in Wałcz were investigated. The aims of the study were to determine the diversity of the vegetation cover of three neighbouring water ponds along with their ecotonal communities: with the characteristics of xerophilous grasses from the area of surface plantings of Betula pendula Roth., rushes along a drainage ditch and trodden meadows, in a boundary part. The evaluation of the occurring flora and the determination of the need of protection of this complex area were performed. The closeness of urban buildings did not affect negatively the floral diversity of the investigated object, as 141 species of vascular plants in four habitats were determined, including 2 species of trees and 8 bushes, from which 2 herbaceous species formed communities being under legal protection. Of the 24 phytocenoses designated, the greatest area was occupied by meadow communities, occurring in the ecotone part (5.6 ha), and then by water (0.9 ha) and rush (2.2 ha) communities associated with the water ponds. The need of legal protection of this area results from its role in maintaining biodiversity in this anthropogenic landscape and educational values for young people and children from the local schools.
