Field experiments were conducted in the years 2008–2009 to evaluate weed control, selecitivity, and cobs yield of sugar maize after application of mesotrion + nicosulfuron with oil adjuvant and mineral adjuvants. Mosotrion and nicosufluron applied at 150 g/ha and 60 g/ha controlled weeds at 65 and 69%. Mixture of mesotrion + nicosufluron at 100 g/ha + 32 g/ha controlled weeds at 95%, mesotrion + nicosufluron + Atpolan BIO 80 EC at the doses 50 g/ha + 16 g/ha + 1.5 l/ha 75%. Mixtures of mesotrion + nicosufluron + Atpolan BIO 80 EC applied additionally with UAN or ammonium nitrate reduced 89% weed weight. Herbicides were selective to the sugar maize variety Naziha. Cobs yield was similar in herbicide treatments but more when compared with control plot.
