The main aim of the article is analysis of changes in consumption of meat in Poland during the period before and after our integration with European Union. The process of accession caused important agricultural and meat production progress which had an influence on growth of consumption. The main kind of meat which has the most growth in consumption nowadays is poultry. Beef is the least popular with the household because of BSE disease, but there are some symptoms of positive changes in consumption of beef in the future. As far as pork is concerned there is rather constant amount of consumption. In experts opinion the consumption of meat will be grow, especially poultry. There will be tendency to buy more ready-made meat products by consumers in the next ten days.
