Oznaczono pozorną strawność białka i aminokwasów ziarna różnych odmian pszenicy u kur niosek.

The aim of the study was to determine the apparent digestibility of crude protein and amino acids of different cultivars of wheat in laying hens. Digestibility was measured by standard methods on 35 Lohman Brown laying hens (7 group of 5 birds each) at the age of 27 weeks. Hens were fed diets containing 90% grain of one of the following wheat cultivars: Vinjett, Napola, Bryza, Zebra, Bombona, Muza, Torka, and 10% minerals. Wheat grain was analysed for basic nutrients, neutral and acid detergent fibre (NDF, ADF, ADL), dietary fibre (IDF, SDF), and amino acids. The content of nutrients, dietary fibre, and amino acid profile in grains differed among cultivars. Significant differences (p<0.05) were found between the cultivars of wheat in the apparent digestibility of crude protein and amino acids in laying hens. Digestibility coefficient of crude protein amounted from 71% (cv. Vinjett) to 84% (cv. Muza). The greatest differences in amino acid digestibility among cultivars were found for alanine, tyrosine, and aspartic acid.
