The aim of the study was the estimation of a long-term effect of unbalanced mineral fertilization against manure fertilization and liming on manganese and iron mobility and their ratios in the light soil. The studies were conducted on the basis of a field experiment situated at the experimental station in Łyczyn. The liming reduced the content of mobile manganese forms in to a higher degree than mobile iron forms. The regular fertilization with manure caused a higher concentration of both of the elements. The widening Fe : Mn ratio was observed, as a result of the long-term liming, which can be the reason of manganese deficiency in the cultivated plants. The mineral fertilization, mainly with nitrogen increased the mobile manganese content. The mineral fertilization did not influence significantly the iron content in the studied soil.
