Recycling of construction waste is a method of reuse anthropogenic material that is recommended by national and international law. It is economically, ecologically and technologically effi cient. The increasing traffic cause damage of pavements. The renovation can be done either using new materials or recycled materials. Recycled asphalt can be used in building new asphalt roads or for reinforcement of local dirt roads. Concrete recycling gains importance because it protects natural resources and limits the need for disposal by using the readily available concrete as an aggregate source for new concrete or pavement subbase layers. As a result we can avoid the creation of huge amounts of demolition waste during roadworks and the area of bings connected with natural materials mining and their negative infl uence on the landscape. We can save the consumption of nonrenewable natural materials taking an economical benefit from it because of lower prices of recycled materials. In this work the use of by – products is presented especially from the point of view of building low-volume roads with local traffic, however they are also used for other public roads.
