The maintenance of industrial poultry production in isolated livestock buildings forces the producers to ensure that the birds kept in optimal microclimatic conditions. This is currently associated not only with the welfare of animals, but also with the applicable regulations and, most importantly, from the economic point of view - the profit of the breeder. A relatively small space of livestock buildings and a large stocking density of birds are a challenge for producers to ensure stable microclimatic conditions. Among other things, it is particularly important to maintain the recommended temperature and humidity levels regardless of environmental conditions outside buildings. During later spring and summer in our latitudes, periods of exceptionally hot days appear more and more frequently, which negatively affects the thermal comfort of kept poultry. Crossing the recommended temperature ranges results in lowering of production indicators and in extreme cases may cause mass death of birds. The occurrence of heat stress can be exposed to birds at different times of the year, but controlling the microclimate during the low temperatures is easier than during hot weather. Crossing the recommended temperature ranges results in lowering of production indicators and in extreme cases may cause mass death of birds. The occurrence of heat stress can be exposed to birds at different times of the year, but controlling the microclimate during the low temperatures is easier than during hot weather. However, there are technical solutions on the market dedicated to livestock buildings, whose aim is to cool the interior of buildings as effectively as possible during the hot weather. A one-time investment in such equipment can significantly contribute to improving the welfare of the kept poultry, which will affect the results obtained in production.
