The diagnostic value of the agglutination test with a heat- -stable antigen anchored to a plate was determined in comparison with a standard microscopic test with alive leptospires. The new test appeared to be useful in the diagnosis of leptospirosis. The specificity of the test in healthy animals was 97.0% and sensitivity in infected pigs — 94.4%. However, the problem of interpretation of the results in vaccinated sows remains to be solved.
