The studies were carried out with 56 rats infected with 300 or 1500 Trichinella spiralis larvae. The half of animals received encorton in the amount of 1 mg daily by oral route, between the 15th and 21t day after infection. The number of larvae was counted at 10 week after infection. The results obtained suggest that the administration of encorton 3 weeks after infection causes an increase in the number of larvae only by 1/6.
