Artykuł prezentuje konstrukcję, funkcjonowanie i zasady działania doradztwa rolni­czego w Kanadzie. Jak wynika z badań jest to doradztwo zdecentralizowane, nie posia­dające jednolitego systemu organizacyjnego na terenie całego kraju. W poszczególnych prowincjach istnieją nieco odrębne zasady organizacji doradztwa rolniczego. Idea doradz­twa w Kanadzie polega na centralnym opracowywaniu programów doradczych, które są następnie realizowane przez władze prowincjonalne z udziałem publicznych i prywatnych instytucji zajmujących się doradztwem i wspieraniem rozwoju wsi i rolnictwa.

In this paper, there has been presented the structure, functioning and operation prin­ciples of agricultural extension in Canada. According to the investigations the counseling is of a decentralized character, without a uniform structural system on the territory of the country. The rules governing agricultural extension vary somewhat from district to di­strict. The idea of counseling involves developing counseling programs which are further implemented by the local governments together with public and private organizations which are involved in counseling and supporting the development of agriculture and rural areas.
