Рассмотрели актуальную классификацию и характеристику микроорганизмов рода Campylobacter на основе IX издания Bergey’s Manual of Determinative Bacteriology (1984). Сверх того представили частотность появления у скота микроорганизмов рода Campylobacter на территории Польши и ГДР. В 1985 и 1986 гг. в ветеринарных диагностических лабораториях чаще всего отмечался подвид С. sputorum subsp. bubulus (в Польше 95,43 и 96,04%, в ГДР — 80,25 и 84,94%). Болезнетворные штаммы С. fetus subsp. venerealis и С. fetus subsp. fetus появлялись значительно реже (в Польше 0,46 и 0,85%, в ГДР — 16,22 и 10,73%). Бактерии С. fecalis как а Польше, так и в ДГР составляли ок. 4% всех изолированных в этот период штаммов Campylobacter.

Actual classification and characterisation of Campylobacter spp. was discussed on the basis of IXth edition of Bergey’s Manual of Determinative Bacteriology (1984). The prevalence of Campylobacter spp. in cattle both in Poland and in German Democratic Republic was also presented. In 1985 and 1986 in veterinary diagnostic laboratories the most prevelent is C. sputorum subsp. bubulus (in Poland 95.43% and 96.04% and in GDR 80.25% and 84.94%). Pathogenic strains C. fetus subsp. venerealis and C. fetus subsp. fetus appeared less often (in Poland 0.46% and 0.85% and in GDR 16.22% and 10.73%). C. fecalis represented about 4.0% of all the strains of Campylobacter isolated both in Poland and in GDR.
