Due to uniwersity studies young people undergo the process of education, and this in turn changes their behaviours and attitudes. The above mentioned process concerns students of different faculties, also teacher’s faculties. And prospective teachers — having a great influential power — should play a very important role in teaching pro-health attitudes. An the same time it should be emphasized that the more health conscious teachers are, the more effective education will be. Teaching children by exposing them to positive examples should be a basic mechanism in this respect. The question arises whether students — prospective teachers — will be able to set up appropiate examples to follow. The answer to this question seems to be of paramount importance, especially when we take into consideration the fact that health state of Polish citizens is rather poor. Hence the purpose of my research is to assess pro-health attitudes among the students of the University of Zielona Góra.
