The examined fresh alluvial deposit of Bieszczady is characterized by very valuable soil - forming properties. Its characteristic features are the high content of Mg and Ca (calcium mainly in CaCO₃), the reaction is close to neutral (often alkalaine). The river regulation and their engineering development resticted, and often suppressed completely the process of alluvial soils forming, which in the mountain and submontane areas favoured the preservation of the enclaves of valuable alluvial soils.
