The survival rate of Trichomonas intestinalis L. in various concentrations of hydrochloric acid and gastric juice of various acidity was examined. The destroying effect of hydrochloric acid has been found to depend on its concentration in the medium. The gastric juice, as compared with hydrochloric acid, exerted a stronger inhibiting effect on the survival rate of Trichomonas intestinalis L. in the culture, this being probably related to additional factors (enzymes?).
