Continuing their previous investigations (Wiad. Paraz. 4: 537, 1958) the authors examined 100 bunches of radish and 40 samples of cabbage lettuce bought in the shops of Warsaw (from April till June 1959). They found parasite eggs in 93% of the radish bunches and 47.5% of cabbage lettuce. These were chiefly eggs of Ascaris, further - Trichuris and Oxyuris. Such a consideraible contamination of the vegetables is to be explained by the use of hiuman excrements for dunging.
