In two experiments conducted on White Italian geese, the standard concentrate diet was applied, as well as the same diet with the differentiation, that the part of mixture was replaced to ground oat, dried forage and sugar beet pulp in such amounts, that about of 50% of fiber was originated from supplement. Increasing of the level of crude protein in the geese diet was conseguent by decreasing of the birds body weight, increasing of the structuralcarbohydrates concentration and sugars dissolvable in the small intestine content, decreasing of pH intestinal content and the changes of proportions between acetic, propionic and butyric acids in the VFA caecuum content, in degree depended on the king of of crude fibre and its physical and chemical peculiarity in the geese diet.
