Celem badań była ocena wpływu suszenia mikrofalowo - konwekcyjnego nasion bobiku w różnych warunkach mocy mikrofal (96-168 W), temperatury powietrza (293-323 K) i temperatury nasion (313, 318, 323 K) oraz nagrzewania nasion mikrofalami, bez wymuszonego przepływu powietrza, na kiełkowanie i rozwój siewek. Uzyskane rezultaty wskazują, że zarówno nagrzewanie mikrofalami, jak i suszenie mikrofalowo-konwekcyjne mają wpływ na biologiczną jakość nasion i jednocześnie dowodzą, że możliwe jest określenie warunków suszenia mikrofalowo-konwekcyjnego, w których obniżenie jakości kiełkowania i rozwoju siewek nie nastąpi.

The research aimed at assessing the effect of microwave-convectional drying of field bean seeds at differentiated microwave power (96 - 168 W), end temperature (293 - 323 K) and stable temperature of seeds (313, 318, 323 K), as well as heating the seeds with microwaves (without drying), on germination and development of seedlings. The results obtained indicated that both microwave heating; and microwave-convectional drying did affect the biological quality of seeds. At the same time they proved it possible to find out such conditions of microwave-convectional drying under which termination and development of seedlings would not be deteriorated.
