The aim of the investigations was to determine the influence of probiotics on piglets’ growth, health and feed conversion. Two experiments have been done in which suckling piglets received Biogen N and T or Microferm-fer. In both experiments, no improvement has been found in the growth rate of suckling and weaned piglets after supplying preparations containing milk acid bacteria. The use of biostimulators decreased the acute course and frequency of diarrhea and decreased mortality during the 70 day period of observation in experiment I in group D-1 and D-2 compared to group K-1 by 1.14% and 4.05%, and in experiment II in the experimental group by 11.52% compared to the control group. Animal health improvement favours the practical use of biostimulators in young pig breeding.
