Concentration of Mn, Zn, Pb, Cd as well as content of K, Ca and Mg in wood of pine growing in four regions of diverse level of industry emission was analyzed. It was documented that in wood tissue cumulate comparatively nor much of heavy metals, however, there exists some relation ship between their content in wood and environmental contamination. High variability, possibility of translocation and selectivity in cumulation of heavy metals cause that their concentration in wood do not indicate on concrete environmental contaminations and alternations in time intervals. Thus, the essentialinfluence of heavy metals on basic macroelements content in wood was not observed.
