Magnesium, calcium, fluoride and phosphates were determined in 87 ovine bone samples /coccygeal vertebrae/ and in blood serum. Sheep, divided into three groups of age, came from Nowe Warpno/ not contaminated I and Godków /exposed to industrial emissions /. The ratios of magnesium to fuoride, calcium and to phosphate were analysed. Mg2+IF ratio in bones greatly varied in relation to the age of the animals and was affected by fluoride emission. Ratio of Mg2+ICa2+ in blood serum of sheep from Godków increased with age.
