Przebadano 21 próbek owoców barszczu pochodzących z 12 gatunków roślin należących do rodzaju Heracleum na obecność 4 linearnych furanokumaryn: ksantotoksyny, bergaptenu, imperato- ryny i byakangelikolu. Badania przeprowadzono metodą RP-HPLC, pozwalającą na uchwycenie niewielkich zmian zawartości tych związków w owocach badanych gatunków w zależności od strefy geograficznej i pochodzenia surowca. Stwierdzono zmienną zawartość furanokumaryn zarówno w różnych gatunkach i podgatunkach barszczu, jak i w obrąbie egzemplarzy jednego gatunku - H. sibiricum - o różnym pochodzeniu geograficznym. Opracowano metodę izolacji byakangelikolu z owoców H. sibiricum i potwierdzono tożsamość tego związku metodami spektralnymi 1H=NMR i MS.

21 samples of fruits, deriving from 12 species of plants belonging to Heracleum sp. on the content of 4 linear furanocoumarins: xanthotoxin, bergapten, imperatorin and byakangelikol were examined. The study was carried out by RP-HPLC method, enabling the determination of tiny changes in the concentration of these compounds in Heracleum fruits, depending on the geographical zone and the plant origin. Variable content of linear furanocoumarins, both in different Heracleum species and subspecies and within one species - H. sibiricum - of various geographical origin was determined. The isolation method for byakangelikol was elaborated and the identity of this compound was confirmed by spectral methods ('H-NMR i MS).
