The prevalence of antibodies against Toxocara canis in the sera of healthy humans was evaluated by means of ELISA test (Batiment Biokema, Switzerland). The sera were collected from persons of the Lublin district. The antibodies were found in 18.57 per cent of sera taken from 140 children aged up to 15 years. Sera collected from 176 humans aged between 18-25 years were positive in 23.8%, and in 29.6% when taken from persons aged over 25 years. Moreover, 19 sera of humans infested with Trichinella spiralis proved to be positive in 11 cases (57.9%).
