The aim of this work was to determine the contamination of raw poultry meat with Listeria sp. and enterotoxigenic strains of S. aureus, using PCR method. Raw chicken parts (70 samples) and minced turkey meat (23 samples) were examined. It was found 11 strains of S. aureus and 43 strains of Listeria sp. including 6 strains of L. monocytogenes. All L. monocytogenes strains possessed hly A gene coding listeriolysin O. Four strains of S. aureus (37%) had possibility of production of cntcrotoxins. Two of them had possibility of production enterotoxin В (SEB), one of them both SEB and SED, and the last only SEC. Enterotoxigenic staphylococci were stated in 13% of examined samples of raw poultry meat.
