W oparciu o tygodniowy dzienniczek żywieniowy pacjentów otyłych stosujących dietę odchudzającą oceniono spożycie witamin A, D, E, B1, B2, B6, BI2, PP i C. Odnotowano niską podaż witaminy D oraz wybranych witamin rozpuszczalnych w wodzie (B1, B2, B6, PP i C). Wyniki wskazują na potrzebę edukacji żywieniowej pacjentów.

The study objective was to assess the realization of the recommended 1500 kcal diet with respect to the content of chosen vitamins. Seventy-six adult patients with excessive body mass (49 women and 27 men) treated at Obesity Treatment Centre in Białystok were recruited for the study. The energetic value and the content of vitamins A, D, E and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin and vitamin C were evaluated based on weekly diet diaries completed by the study subjects; the data were analyzed using a computer program FOOD 3 (designed by the Institute of Food and Feeding in Warsaw). The mean energetic value of the diets assessed in the study was 1238,9 kcal/24 h for women and 1424 kcal/24 h for men. Dietary vitamin D intake in both sexes and vitamin B1 in women and B2 in men were markedly insufficient.
