Celem pracy było określenie, czy płeć, wiek i miejsce zamieszkania wiążą się z różną częstością spożycia niektórych produktów typu fast food, słodyczy i słodzonych napojów gazowanych wśród uczniów szkół średnich. Badaniami objęto 1117 osób. Przy pomocy kwestionariusza ankiety zebrano informacje dotyczące częstości spożycia produktów takich, jak: hamburgery, pizza, frytki, chipsy, słodycze i słodkie napoje gazowane oraz informacje dotyczące wieku, płci i miejsca zamieszkania badanych (miasto, wieś). Czynnikiem najsilniej różnicującym spożycie produktów typu fast food i słodzonych napojów gazowanych wśród uczniów była płeć. Po wszystkie omawiane produkty znacząco częściej sięgali chłopcy niż dziewczęta. Jedynym produktem spożywanym z identyczną częstością u obu płci były słodycze. Stwierdzono także wyższe spożycie niektórych z omawianych produktów wśród uczniów szkół średnich wywodzących się ze środowiska wiejskiego.

The aim of this study was to determine whether gender, age and residence are associated with a various frequency of the consumption of some fast foods, sweets and sweetened fizzy beverages among secondary-school students. The investigation included 1,117 people. Using a questionnaire information was collected about the frequency of the consumption of such products as: hamburgers, pizza, chips, crackers, sweets and sweetened fizzy beverages, and information about gender and place of residence of the investigated school students (town, rural area). Gender was the strongest factor which differentiated the consumption of fast food products and sweetened fizzy beverages among school students. Boys preferred these products in a significantly higher degree than girls. Sweets were the only product which received identical preference in both genders. A higher consumption of some of the products under consideration was found among secondary-school students from rural areas.
