Krajobrazowo- kulturowy charakter Popradzkiego Parku Krajobrazowego przy intensywnej działalności społeczno-gospodarczej w jego obrębie wywołuje wiele konfliktów. Przyjęty program prac nad planem ochrony parku jest ukierunkowany na rozwiązywanie podstawowych problemów związanych z ochroną zasobów i walorów parku.

The Poprad Landscape Park is located in the southern part of the Nowy Sącz Region (Voivodship) and it covers an area of 79000 hectares. The Park is characterised by rich natural and cultural heritage. More than 60 per cent of the area is used for public or business purposes and this is a source of conflicts and problems. A Conservation Plan is developed to identify the scale and methods of preserving nature, landscape and cultural/historical heritage with the view to continued business activity. The Plan is currently being developed and a number of reviews, studies and appraisals have been made. This material will be used to develop: -Poprad Landscape Park Protection Strategy, not subject to endorsement; it will highlight model policies of nature and landscape preservation and -Conservation Plan, a document subject to the Voivode's endorsement, which will be a compromise between the preservation of nature and landscape presented in the 'Strategy' and economic development of the region.
