Wyroby z mas wtórnych charakteryzują się wyraźnie wyższą zawartością czterech metali ciężkich w porównaniu z wyrobami z mas pierwotnych. Maksymalna zawartość sumy Pb, Cd, Cr i Hg w zbadanych próbkach nie przekraczała jednak 30 ppm przy dopuszczalnej granicy 100 ppm. Krajowe opakowania papierowe w pełni spełniają wymagania Dyrektywy 94/62/EC dotyczące zawartości sumy tych czterech metali ciężkich i nie stanowią pod tym względem zagrożenia dla środowiska.

The products made of secondary pulp are characterized by a distinct higher contents of the four heavy metals in comparison with products made of virgin pulp. The maximum contents of the sum total of Pb, Cd, Cr and Hg in tested samples did not exceed 30 ppm whereas the admissible limit was 100 ppm. Polish paper packages fully meet the demands of the Directive 94/62/EC concerning the contents of the total sum of these four heavy metals and in this respect these packages do not make any threat to the environment.
