Opisano metodę ekstrakcji galaktocukrów gazotwórczych z nasion fasoli i bobu oraz ich ilościowego oznaczania techniką HPLC. Określono m.in. skład mieszaniny ekstrakcyjnej, sposób oczyszczania i skład fazy ruchomej.

A method was developed for the determination of galactosugars: raflinose, stachiose and verbas-cose, In bean and broad bean seeds by high-pressune liquid chromatography. The effect of various concentrations of the ethanolic extraction solvent and of other solutions (methanol and acetonitrile) on the effectiveness of sugar extraction from bean was investigated. The optimal composition of the mobile phase was established. It was found that the effectiveness of raflinose and stachiose extraction from bean seeds was highest when 40-60% ethanol was the extraction solvent, and when the proportion of bean to the extraction solvent by weihgt was 2:25. The presented HPLC technique, as compared with gas chromatography, allows for threefold shortening of the duration of one chromatographic analysis.
