Present situation in agricultural sector showed that along the year 2000 it will be rather difficult to restrain the disadvantageous tendencies of small dynamics in land deals and low land prices in general, including the market of neighbours' sales. Such a situation fixes some disadvantageous structural phenomena dealing not only with the farms' size, but also farm production (increasing number of farms without any market crop production). Difficulties in farm land economy on the neighbours' market are of similar character as on the market of treasury farm land (drop of land sales, more land leasing agreement dissolved than contracted in 1999). Lack of active state supporting for land sales among the farmers and enlarging farm acreage this way, restricts the transformation in acreage structure of family farms in Poland and intensifies difficult situation on the market of farm land. That appears to be a particular disadvantage in matching of Polish farming to the competition with agricultural producers in the EU countries.
