The aim of the studies was to confirm data obtained earlier and estimate an optimal folic acid daily dose that can effectively increase the survival rate of fetuses. The experiment was carried out on 360 sows divided into 4 experimental groups. Group I served as a control, other groups were fed the same mixture as group I, but it was supplemented with 2, 5 or 10 mg of folic acid per 1 kg. Data on productivity were collected, mortality of fetuses on the 30th day of pregnancy was estimated, and biochemical indices were determined to protect the healthy state of animals. The best results were found in the group where 5 mg of folic acid/kg of mixture was supplemented.
