Integration of Poland with the EU is already well under way. The main question now is how our entering to the EU structure would affect Polish agriculture and horticulture. In the presented paper some opinions of ornamental nursery growers on advantages and disadvantages of entering EU are discussed. Hardy nursery stock production is apart of floriculture, and it was developing very fast in the last years. That was possible because market demand was much higher then supply. Nowadays, growers are afraid that entering EU will increase the competition and bring about difficulties in selling their plant material. It is hard to say how strong or weak is our nursery production in comparison to other European countries, as no statistical data are available on Polish floriculture production. Therefore both, production structure and its value are obscure. Also, structural changes, tendencies and perspectives are difficult to assess.
