W pracy dążono do poznania opinii farmaceutów pracujących w aptekach ogólnodostępnych na temat ich przygotowania do pełnienia opieki farmaceutycznej nad chorymi z nadciśnieniem tętniczym. Badania ankietowe dotyczyły również uznania istotnej roli diety w profilaktyce nadciśnienia oraz edukacji pacjentów w celu polepszenia jakości życia.

There is a common notion, that the pharmacists who are employed in pharmacies should include in their work a certain degree of prophylaxis for betterment of general health of their patients. It is consistent with the basic idea of pharmaceutical care. As we all know, for the patients with arterial hypertension a decisive factor is the correct nutrition. In this work it was important to learn the opinion of pharmacicts as to their readiness to take up the problem of pharmaceutical care and co-operation with patients. The survey has shown that the majority is prepared to fulfil pharmaceutical care for patients with arterial hypertension. Over 70% of the questioned pharmacists realise the importance of proper diet in the prevention of hypertension and declare their readiness to take part in the education of patients for the improvement of their quality of life.
