Oznaczono zawartość wapnia, magnezu, sodu, potasu i fosforu w śniadaniowych produktach zbożowych gotowych do spożycia oraz produktach mleczno-zbożowych i mlecznych z dodatkiem zbóż i owoców. Oceniono realizację zalecanego dziennego zapotrzebowania na niezbędne makroelementy dostarczane w codziennej diecie z badanymi produktami.

The concentrations of calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and phosphorus were determined in commercial breakfast cereals and milk products as well cereal snacks. Quantitative analysis for metals was performed by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) with deuterium-background correction. Phosphorus was determined by colorimetry in terms of phosphormolybdate blue. The contents of major elements in 100 g of analysed products were as follows: 5.37-184 mg calcium; 6.12-53 mg magnesium; 0.71-795 mg sodium; 67.5-816 mg potassium and 71.2-1190 mg phosphorus. Based on element concentrations in the studied products, the percentage of the contribution to the recommended daily intake of each element was estimated for an adult person. The results show that the analysed breakfast cereal products are a good source of the major elements in human diet.
