The work describes a universal research stand for recording and analysis of the work of mechanical and pneumatic single-seed drills with the use of PC microcomputer. This research stand assures a stepless regulation of rotational speed of the sowing element of the drill (range 1÷ 100 rot/min) and values of negative pressure for pneumatic drill (range 0 ÷ 4 kPa). The system of photooptical sensors records points at which seeds leave the drill and the points where they fell in a furrow, as well as the time of a seed flow and then it counts up rotations of the sowing element. Supervision of the sowing process and initial data processing are done by a controller with a microprocessor. The controller additionally provides a two-sided communication with the computer through a series of junction RS 232. Software enables immediate statistical data processing and presentation of the obtained indices and distributions in a form of tables and diagrams.
