The author has employed functional relationship to explain the variability of agricultural income-determined by the interaction of direct labor and fixed assets in family farms of the central-east macroregion in 1990, 1991 an 1992. Moreover, the adopted set of independent variables allowed to determine: a) that part of agricultural income which has been brought about by increase of factors with extensive nature, and b) that part of the income which has been reached through the intensive exploitation of factors. The above have allowed an in-depth substantial interpretation of relative statistical analysis of the use of creative potential (direct labor and fixed assets) in shaping the variability of the agricultural income of family farms.
