W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań nad wpływem długości dnia, składu spektralnego światła, temperatury i czynników chemicznych na procesy indukcji kwitnienia, ewokacji i inicjacji kwiatów we wczesnych etapach organogenezy kilku gatunków traw i koniczyny białej. Badania przeprowadzono w laboratorium in vitro, w komorach klimatyzacyjnych fitotronu, w szklarniach z regulowaną temperaturą i oświetleniem, a także w warunkach polowych. Stwierdzono, że czynnikami indukcji kwitnienia u traw wieloletnich i koniczyny białej są niskie temperatury dodatnie i (albo) krótki dzień. Intensywne naświetlanie koniczyny białej i (częściowo) kupkówki pospolitej światłem bogatym w promienie czerwone i podczerwone indukuje kwitnienie roślin, zastępując działanie niskich temperatur i krótkiego dnia. Procesy indukcji kwitnienia są związane z II i III etapem organogenezy, z III i IV etapem ewokacji, a inicjacja kwiatów z V etapem organogenezy. W pracy podjęto próbę krytycznej oceny istniejących koncepcji indukcji kwitnienia roślin ozimych i wieloletnich. Przedstawiono własny schemat przebiegu procesów indukcji kwitnienia, ewokacji i inicjacji kwiatów w ontogenezie roślin wieloletnich.

Trial data concerning the impact of photoperiod, light spectric composition, temperature and chemical factors on induction, evocation and flower initiation processes of some grasses and white clover in early stages of organogenesis are presented in the paper. The investigation was carried out in an in vitro laboratory, phytotron climatic chambers, greenhouses with regulated temperature and lighting, and in the field. Low, but above zero temperatures and (or) a short day have been found to be flowering inducing factors in perennial grasses and white clover. An intensive treatment of white clover and (partly) orchard grass with lamps rich in red and in frared rays induces flowering and eliminates the demand for the impact of a short day and low temperatures. The processes of flowering induction take place in 2nd and 3rd organogenesis stages, evocation - in 3th and 4th stages, flower initiation - in 5th stage. Flowering induction, evocation and flower initiation are reversible processes. The juvenile phase in a development cycle of various perennial grasses ends when there are 1-9 leaves on the main stem. The morphogenesis investigation in epical meristem culture in vitro showed that the known phytohormones induce a generative development of perennial grasses but did not answer the question to what scale each of them takes part in the flower initiation process. The contemporary hypotheses and conceps concerning flowering induction of winter and perennial plants are critically evaluated in the paper. A scheme of flowering induction, evocation and flower initiation in ontogenesis of perennial plants, elaborated by the author, is also included.
