W pracy przedstawiono 31 nowych stanowisk suchogłówki korowej Phleogena faginea (Fr.)

Phleogena faginea, a species considered to be endangered in Poland, has so far been rarely recorded in our country. Here, we present 31 new localities of the species, which increases the number of known localities to 78. Localities in the Bieszczadzki National Park found at 660–780 m a.s.l. are the most elevated stations of Phleogena faginea in Poland. The most frequent substrate of P. faginea were beech and hornbeam (approximately 75 records for each), followed by oak– 32 records, and black alder trees –15 records. For the remaining tree species being the substrate of the fungus, the number of records does not exceed 10. In the Puszcza Bukowa Forest, P. faginea was reported on sycamore Acer pseudoplatanus, that is, the substrate not mentioned in literature so far, and on common ash Fraxinus excelsior, the substrate never before recorded in Poland. Basidiomes of P. faginea, of untypical shape, bi- or trifurcate stalks (secondary stalks growing from the old pileus and ended with a new one) were observed on dead trunks of oak in the Bielawy Reserve. Because of numerous new localities reported in the recent years, we propose changing the threat category in Poland from E (Endangered) to NT (Near Threatened)
