Two disinfectans, i.e. Polish Mastycyd D and Swedish Juvelit were used for postmilking disinfection. After milking the same milker dipped the teats of ten cows in the Mastycyd D solution or sprayed them with Juvelit (sixteen cows). Due to this procedure an improved microbiological quality of milk in both groups of cows was found after two months, especially in the animals treated with Juvelit. Besides, contamination of udders with Staphylococcus spp disappeared in seven cows following the administration of Juvelit. Mastycyd D cleared udders of contamination with Streptococcus spp; however, after some time they were infected with Staphylococcus spp. The analysis of the dynamics of udder infections proved to be useful for assessing the findings.
