The iron and manganese contents in dust directional fall-out, dust deposited on the surface of trees leaves and in dust fall-out collected from the area of Tatra National Park, collected in the period October-December 2003, were investigated. The solubility of these metals may inform on their phytoavailability. Iron in dust fall-out and dust deposited on the surface of trees leaves were in water-insoluble form whereas manganese was mainly in water-soluble form. The water-soluble forms of iron and manganese occurred in Tatra National Park in much smaller mounts than in Zakopane. The dust fallout of iron was also smaller as compared with fall-out of iron in Northern Alps (Switzerland).
