В статье обсуждается первое предприятие в охране природной среды, каким была охрана туров в XIV—XVI веке. К сожалению оно кончилось неудачей по всей вероятности вследствие эпидемии заразных болезней.

The first action concerning the protection of environment is discussed. It consisted in the organization of the protection of aurochs in XIV—XVI c. in Poland. Unfortunately, it ended with a failure, most probably as consequence of an ecidemic of contagious diseases.
