The influence of heavy metal (copper) on the degradation rate of herbicide (metazachlor) in soil was tested in greenhouse conditions. Based soil was modified through changes in cooper content. Metazachlor was added to prepared soil samples. Sixty and 116 days after herbicide application metazachlor residues were determined using gas chromatography with EC detector. High concentration of copper had negative effect on metazachlor degradation rate.
