He was born in 1896 in Warsaw, where in 1917 he completed high school education, and in 1929 on the basis of the dissertation Humidity of Air in Poland he graduated from university as a doctor of philosophy. As a student he began to work in the State Meteorological Institute (1923), where he worked until 1936. He worked as an: assistant, editor, and Director of the Institute. At the same time he worked as a scientist and as a lecturer at the University and in Main School of Farming. During the World War II he was forced to work in Meteorologisches Institut Warschau where, in consultation with University authorities, he had Polish Meteorological property in his care. After rising in 1944 Professor was taken away to the Reich, where he tried to protect Polish meteorological property. In 1946 during the work on the Polish meteorological property retrieval, he worked as a specialist. In the same year he came back to Poland bringing back the regained materials. In Poland he become a consultant scientist of State Hydro-Meteorological Institute and later a deputy - director for meteorological atfairs.
