The article is devoted to situation, in which agriculture in Malopolska Voivodeship had found itself in first year after war activities finish. In this period state industry had contended with different problems. Good organization and improvement of efficiency had not been able to be led in the industry. In relation to prewar production, productivity of firms amounted to only from 20 to 30%. Increasing costs of state firms had carried with increase of industrial articles’ prices. In the end, at the end of 1945 occurrence “prices scissors” had intensified to agricultural products’ disadvantage. This difficult economic situation in Poland had affected especially disadvantageously on agriculture situation. Rebuild of country destroyed in results of war activities in Malopolska Voivodeship had proceeded very slowly. The main obstacle was the lack of sufficient amount of building materials. While, the Ministry of Supply and Trade had saddled farmers with compulsory non-cash services. Excessive measurement of services and war damages caused, that Cracow Agriculture had founded itself in long-term production in depression. It is, therefore no wonder that „stiff” market that could be the regulator in the sphere of food articles’ prices had lost its significance very quickly. The rations of food had successively been reducing. On ration coupons in I Category only bread and sugar could be received and only in minimal amount. Other products were available only when any exceptional transport UNRRY had arrived.
