Un nouvel Ostéostracé attribué au groupe des Céphalaspidiens, “Cephalaspis” dniestrensis sp. n., des Grés de Babin (Old Red) de Podolie, est décrit et compare à certaines espèces du Dévonien inférieur du Spitsberg et de Grande Bretagne. Quelques remarques sont faites sur un Ostéostracé, Zychaspis bucovinensis (Văscăutanu, 1931), décrit dans 1’Old Red de la rive bucovinienne du Dniestr.

Opisano przedstawiciela Osteostraci z grupy cefalaspidów, „Cephalaspis” dniestrensis sp. n. Pochodzi on ze żwirów babińskich (Old Red) z Podola. Przeprowadzono porównania z niektórymi dolnodewońskimi gatunkami ze Spitsbergenu i Wielkiej Brytanii. Osteostraki z old redu bukowińskiego brzegu Dniestru, C. bucoviniensis Vascautanu, 1931 zaliczono do rodzaju Zychaspis. Osteostraki te przypominają rodzaj Zychaspis płatem rostralnym pancerza przedłużającym się w jego boczne krawędzie i podobnym położeniem oczu.

A new cephalaspidian osteostracan, “Cephalaspis” dniestrensis sp. n., from the Babin Sandstone (Old Red) of Podolia, is described and compared to some species from the Lower Devonian of Spitsbergen and Great Britain. Some remarks are made on Zychaspis bucovinensis (Văscăutanu, 1931), an osteostracan from the Old Red of the Bucovinian bank of the Dniestr.
