The evolution of economics as a science shows the process of distinguishing three new schools of thought (sub-disciplines of economics) – environmental economics, ecological economics and sustainable development economics. It is a result of competitiveness within the theory of economics of three attitudes towards the issues of the environment and its natural resources – economization of the natural environment, ecologization of economics and sustainable development towards the economic aspects of development. This competitiveness generates numerous interesting cognitive and national problems, going beyond economic issues. All the modern disputes about the new directions of creating theoretical and utilitarian relations among economics and environment and its resources, are also visible in the assumptions of the new fi nancial perspective of European Union in the period of 2014 – 2020.
