The aim of presented research was to determine the effect of the post-harvest and pre-sowing tillage methods on the occurrence of self-sown winter wheat and segetal weeds in the crop sequence: winter wheat, winter rape. Most segetal weeds and self-sown winter wheat in the year with low rainfall after harvest occurred after skimming. In years with high rainfall the number of self-sown plants was the highest in the non-tillage stand. Pre-sow ploughing limited significantly the number of self-sown winter wheat and segetal weeds in winter rape. significantly. No-plough tillage reduced the weed infestation, especially self-sown plants, as affected by skimming directly after the forecrop harvest.
